Dogs in front of the Palace

It is common knowledge that every day, many dogs run loose on
Heldenplatz – quite a few of them wearing neither leash nor muzzle.
Even strays wander there once in a while. Furthermore, dog owners
have been known to remove their dogs’ muzzles and leashes
around
Heldenplatz on purpose, in order to let them run around
freely, since in that area there is no risk of complaint by the court
security guards or the town’s dog warden.
